MRC and EPI are glad to announce the 10 th Annual Monetary and Economic Scientific Conference. In 2024, we focus on digital transformation and economic recovery - what the modern
financial system encounters and how the new digital world impacts the economy.
The conference will take place at the University of National and World Economy, Sofia from 18-20 th November 2024.

International financial architecture and the Bretton-Woods institutions-19th November - Round table discussion. Participants:

The discussion will concern the following topics:
- The role of Bretton Woods Institutions in Bulgaria's transition.
- Transformation of international financial architecture.
- The new roles of Bretton Woods institutions. Green and digital transition.
Student and PHD Sessions on 20th November - young researchers and students will have the
opportunity to present their views, analysis and research.
Conference's papers will be published in a book to be indexed in CEEOL - special
requirements for papers are in place.
Researchers interested in issues of monetary and economic problems are invited to discuss
their work and to exchange ideas. Both empirical and theoretical studies could be submitted.
The conference is open to anybody involved in these research areas, including both young and
experienced researchers, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and professionals from business,
government and non-governmental institutions.
English is the working language at the conference.
Organization
MRC was established in the end of 2014 as part of the Finance Department in the University
of National and World Economy, Sofia. The goal of the MRC is to develop scientific research in the
field of monetary theory, policy and history providing opportunities for decent research publications of
young and senior researchers, as well as providing high level forum discussions.
